Colonel’s Park: Adventure and Nature in Carsoli

Autore: Redazione 26/08/2025 19:08

Just a few kilometres from Rome, in Abruzzo, lies the Colonel’s Park of Carsoli — a multi-activity centre that combines adventure, education, and nature. Covering 15,000 square metres, the park offers the perfect blend of fun and learning, all set within a beautiful oak forest.

Tree-top courses for all ages

The park features seven suspended trails at different heights, designed for all levels of difficulty — from baby routes for the youngest visitors to more challenging paths for adults. Each course is supervised by qualified instructors, includes a safety briefing, and follows strict safety standards.

The goal is not only fun but also the development of coordination, balance, and motor skills.

In addition to its adventure trails, Colonel’s Park offers activities such as canyoning, climbing, caving, and horseback riding. This wide range of experiences turns a simple visit into a true immersion in nature — ideal for families, groups of friends, or school trips.

Services and prices

Prices vary depending on the course:

• Baby course: €12

• Children and teen courses: €16–18

• Adult course: €20

Each experience lasts about two hours. The park is open on weekends and public holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with last entry at 5:00 p.m. In August, it opens daily. In case of bad weather, the park remains closed to ensure visitors’ safety.

How to get there

The Colonel’s Adventure Park is located in Carsoli, just 40 km from Rome, in the very heart of Italy. It is easily accessible by car from Rome via the A24 “Autostrada dei Parchi” (Rome–L’Aquila motorway), taking the Carsoli-Oricola exit.
