Palazzo Visconti in Milan: overview and visitor information

Palazzo Visconti di Bolagnos, located in the Durini district near San Babila, is an 18th-century residence known for its rococo decorations and frescoed halls. During Milan Design Week 2026 the palace hosts the installation MONOCHROME AFFINITY. Chapter 2, curated by Migliore+Servetto for NEUTRA.

The palace features a ballroom with 18th-century frescoes and a decorated ceiling linked to the work of Gersam Turri. The blend of historic interiors and contemporary exhibitions offers interest for both art history enthusiasts and design professionals.

Dates and opening hours

Open to the public: from 21 to 26 April 2026 (10:00–20:00) and Monday 27 April 2026 (10:00–18:00). The installation showcases NEUTRA’s new products for the 2026 collection and an exhibition route focusing on marble and natural surfaces through furniture and designer pieces.

  • Capacity: about 300 seats for plated lunch/dinner; 360 seats in theatre layout.
  • Available services: photo and video services, host/usher staff, historical guide, technical support (projector, lighting), simultaneous translation, musical entertainment and floral arrangements.

Short historical note

Palazzo Visconti dates back to the 18th century and expanded under the Bolagnos family before passing through several owners, including the Visconti di Modrone. After housing cultural institutions for a period, it has been restored and is now used for exhibitions and events.
