Inter‑Reality is a multisensory installation conceived by Chilean artist Norton Maza for the Chile Pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale. Designed as a collective, layered environment, the work encourages slow, exploratory engagement with its spatial and temporal dimensions.
The work operates as a perceptual field rather than a single object, combining large-scale architectural elements, theatrical sculptures, visual components and an original sound fabric. Visitors are encouraged to move through the space and shift viewpoints to perceive multiple narrative layers.
The installation reframes global issues—migration, environmental emergencies, geopolitical tensions and disinformation—through South American artistic perspectives and practices. It integrates technology, music and hyperreal strategies to create collective narratives that prompt reflection on memory, power and freedom.
