Oropa Adventure Park – the adventure park among the trees of Biella

Autore: Redazione 01/08/2025 14:20

Amid the greenery of the Oropa Basin, just a few minutes from the famous Marian Sanctuary, lies the Oropa Adventure Park — a well-equipped adventure park featuring tree-top courses, ziplines, and Tibetan bridges. It’s not a natural reserve but a professionally managed structure designed for safe and exciting outdoor fun.

The park offers 7 courses of increasing difficulty, divided by age and skill level.

It starts with the Mini Park (Yellow Course) for children aged 3 to 6 years (minimum height 100 cm) and goes up to the more challenging routes for teens and adults:

• Green Course (Easy) – Height: 1.8 m. Includes 6 platforms with activities such as rope ladders, barrels, foot logs, sacks, planks, small trunks, and a zipline. Suitable for ages 6 and up.

• Green+ Course (Easy) – Height: about 3.5 m. Includes 6 platforms: rope ladders, vertical pegs, discs, Tibetan log bridge, hunter’s bridge, balance beams with grips, and zipline. Suitable for ages 6 and up.

• Blue Course (Medium difficulty) – Height: 4–8 m. Includes 8 platforms with a rope ladder, Tibetan bridge, vines, obstacles, 3 cables, a vertical net, and a zipline. Suitable for ages 6 and up.

• Violet Course (Difficult) – Features a thrilling 170 m zipline that crosses the entire park. Suitable for ages 8 and up, with a minimum weight of 30 kg and a maximum of 90 kg.

• Red Course (Difficult) – Height: 9–12 m. Includes 5 platforms and activities such as a climbing wall entry, side swings, rodeo steps, stirrups, flying discs, and zipline. Suitable for ages 8 and up.

Every participant is equipped with a harness, helmet, and smart safety system (continuous belay) that prevents accidental detachment from the lifeline.

You can reach Oropa Adventure Park by car from Biella, following signs to the Sanctuary of Oropa. A large free parking area is available near the main square.

In summer, a shuttle service from Biella city center is also available.

In addition to the tree-top courses, the park offers a picnic area, refreshment point, and relaxation zones, making it an ideal destination for family outings or fun days with friends. Visitors can also combine the adventure experience with a cultural stop at the Sanctuary or a nature walk along nearby trails.
