In Zagarise, at 1,620 meters above sea level, within the Sila National Park, lies Orme nel Parco — the first adventure park in Calabria.

Spread across three hectares of pristine forest, Orme nel Parco is the perfect destination for those seeking an authentic connection with nature. Between tree-top adventure courses, artificial climbing walls, and archery challenges, every activity is designed to engage both body and mind in complete safety.

All participants are equipped with personal protective gear to tackle the courses confidently, which are divided by difficulty level and suitable even for children.

For those who prefer to explore the Sila on two wheels, the park offers e-bike and fat bike rentals, perfect for venturing along quiet, scenic trails. Guided excursions are also available, allowing visitors to discover the secrets of the territory at the slow rhythm of the seasons.

Archery, Dog Walking, and Workshops

The activities don’t stop there! Among the most popular experiences are dog walking sessions, where your furry companion becomes your adventure partner on a true immersion into the Sila ecosystem.

Entrance to the park is free; visitors pay only for the activities and services they choose. Each experience has its own cost and duration, following a seasonal calendar:

• From mid-April 2025, the park operates from 9:30 a.m. until sunset.
• From July to September, it is open every day.

The area is not covered by mobile networks; for emergencies, satellite communication is available.

Because mountain sun exposure is stronger than at sea level, sun protection for children is recommended. The climate can also change quickly, even in summer, so it’s best to wear comfortable clothing, trekking or sports shoes, and to keep a sweatshirt and rain jacket in your backpack.
