The astrophotography exhibition "Noctis" by Luca Fornaciari has opened at Villa Altieri in Rome. The show features 20 high-precision images of the deep sky — nebulas, interstellar gas clouds and distant galaxies — turning scientific observation into an engaging visual experience for visitors.
The exhibition is included among cultural and scientific initiatives accompanying the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital’s presidency in the Communauté des Villes Vega et Ariane (CVA), a European network that brings together cities involved in the launchers supply chain. The event aims to bring aerospace themes closer to the public through art and photography.
At the inauguration, the Metropolitan City's deputy mayor, Pierluigi Sanna, highlighted the area's concentration of research centers and aerospace companies and its strategic role in the sector: "Culture is a tool to inform and help the public understand the relevance of space activities in daily life," he said, noting the educational and outreach value of initiatives like this one.
"Noctis" thus acts as a bridge between scientific research, industry and the public: a cultural project that tells the story of the sky with striking, technically rigorous images and forms part of a calendar of events that will continue with further space-related cultural proposals in the coming months.
