The Pro‑Biennale initiative aims to promote Naples as a Mediterranean showcase by connecting contemporary art with the archaeological heritage of Neapolis. The project seeks to make excavations and historical evidence along the coast and within the urban area more visible and accessible, offering visitor routes and opportunities for scientific and cultural study.
Naples preserves remains spanning from Magna Graecia to the Roman period: temples, traces of poleis (city‑states), coastal settlements and ceramic finds that testify to millennia of Mediterranean exchange. Evidence includes mural paintings, pottery and urban remains that help reconstruct daily life and the cultural and commercial relationships between East and West.

Initial public and press meetings have been held to outline the project's vision and highlight the archaeological potential of the city. For the public, a phased release of itineraries, guided tours and themed events is planned; cultural operators and researchers are encouraged to follow official updates for collaboration opportunities.
