#PatrimoniConnessi launches: a digital campaign for Italy's UNESCO sites

With spring, the Ministry of Culture debuts #PatrimoniConnessi, a digital initiative to present Italy's UNESCO sites as a living, shared heritage. The campaign aims to make cultural assets more accessible today and transmissible to future generations through contemporary storytelling and social formats.

The project highlights not only monuments and landscapes but also the ongoing work that ensures their preservation: research, protection, maintenance and innovative communication.

What the campaign includes

  • Public figure: a project ambassador will guide the public through narratives that frame heritage as a common good.
  • Creators team: illustrators, cultural storytellers, lifestyle and digital creators convert complex topics into accessible visual and short-form content.
  • Formats: 60-second reels and short videos distributed on Instagram and YouTube, with additional sharing on official channels.
  • Focus: local stories, conservation practices and everyday actions that contribute to protecting UNESCO sites.

How to follow and take part

Content is available on the social channels of the Ministry's Digitalization and Communication office and the Ministry of Culture. To follow the initiative search for the #PatrimoniConnessi hashtag on Instagram and YouTube. For visitors to UNESCO sites this is a practical chance to discover lesser-known aspects, learn about conservation efforts and engage by sharing observations and photos tagged with the campaign hashtag.

Launch date: 30 March 2026. Practical tip: follow official profiles, enable post notifications for participating creators and save reels that indicate places and itineraries to visit.
