From 1 April to 5 October 2026 the National Museum of Cinema in Turin presents My Name Is Orson Welles, a major monographic exhibition produced by the Cinémathèque française featuring more than 400 objects including archival documents, photographs, posters, drawings, audiovisual materials and installations.
Designed for the spectacular helical ramp of the Mole Antonelliana, the exhibition traces Orson Welles's career and creative universe. The display recreates key moments such as the mirror sequence from The Lady from Shanghai, a Rosebud-themed installation evoking Citizen Kane, and a reconstruction of the RKO radio studio connected to the 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast.
A special guided visit will be led by the museum director, Carlo Chatrian. Practical details:
The exhibition gives visitors and film enthusiasts a comprehensive portrait of a key twentieth-century figure. The layout emphasizes Welles’s experimental approach and shows how cinematic illusion can be used to probe the truth of images.
