Event for Leonardo da Vinci's birthday

On Wednesday April 8 Palazzo Falletti di Barolo (via delle Orfane 7, Turin) presents an evening dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci that blends scientific outreach with live theatre. The program aims to showcase functioning reconstructions of Leonardo's machines and to bring his writings to life through performance.

Evening programme

  • 6:00 PM – Guided visit to the exhibition The Working Machines of Leonardo da Vinci: more than 50 devices faithfully reconstructed from the Vinci Codices. Many machines are demonstrated in motion, offering first-hand insight into studies of flight, engineering, hydraulics, mechanics and anatomy.
  • 7:00 PM – Performance in the Salone d’Onore: Massimiliano Finazzer Flory presents Viaggio favoloso in un’Italia che c’è, a show built on Leonardo’s texts and notebooks that highlights the language and vision of the Renaissance.

Why attend

The evening combines practical demonstrations of historical engineering with a literary and dramatic interpretation of Leonardo’s ideas. It is suitable for families, schools and anyone interested in history, technology and culture.
