International Museum Day: Pasqualino Museum joins with the "No war" exhibition

For International Museum Day the Antonio Pasqualino International Puppet Museum is staging an exhibition with strong symbolic content: No war, curated by Rosario Perricone. The event aligns with this edition's focus on museums as spaces of encounter and dialogue that foster understanding and peace.

Exhibition overview

The show features images and installations centered on the iconography of a fragmented pupo: torn and mutilated figures that suggest destruction but also the possibility of rebirth. The works invite reflection on violence and collective recovery, using artistic languages connected to the puppetry tradition.

Practical information

  • Where: Antonio Pasqualino International Puppet Museum, Piazzetta Antonio Pasqualino 5, Palermo
  • When: 18 May 2026, special opening from 10:00 to 14:00
  • Admission: free
  • Curator: Rosario Perricone
  • Website: museodellemarionette.it

The initiative highlights museums' role as participatory cultural hubs: visiting the exhibition offers a chance to explore how artistic practice and intangible heritage can contribute to public dialogue on social issues and community resilience.
