From Baroque printmaking to contemporary photography, the week of 13–19 March 2026 features presentations, guided tours and curated visits organized by the Sovrintendenza Capitolina. Below is a practical guide to the main initiatives, with times, venues and reservation notes.
Friday 13 March, 17:00 – Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi: book presentation focused on Carlo Maratti and engraving, featuring the authors and expert speakers. Free entry in the Sala Tenerani.
Friday 13 March, 11:30 – Fora of Caesar and Trajan (aMICi programme): visit with LIS interpreter tracing the archaeological area’s evolution. Meeting point at the entrance in Piazza Madonna di Loreto. Reservation required; places limited.
Saturday 14 March, 10:00 and 11:00 – Casa Museo Alberto Moravia: guided tours of the writer’s penthouse, showcasing personal objects, artworks and traces of his travels. Reservation compulsory (limited availability).
Saturday 14 March, 20:30 – Casa del Cinema (linked to the Carlo Bilotti exhibition): screening of Sean Baker’s The Florida Project. Tickets available at the box office or online.
Sunday 15 March – Capitoline Museums, Villa Caffarelli: free guided tours of Greece in Rome in Italian (11:30) and English (16:30). Approximately 75-minute tours with immersive multimedia content. Reservation required; limited capacity.
Until 15 March – Capitoline Museums, Palazzo Nuovo: last chance to see Cartier and the Myth, a comparison between Cartier creations and classical sculptures that influenced European taste.
Sunday 15 March, 11:00 and 16:00 – Museo di Roma in Trastevere: guided visits to Cine de Papel. Cuban posters of Italian cinema led by Luigi Bardellotto. Reservation required; limited seats per session.
Wednesday 18 March, 11:00 – Museo Carlo Bilotti, Aranciera di Villa Borghese: curator-led visit to Magic Lanterns. Photographs from the Valerio De Paolis collection. Reservation required; limited places.
Thursday 19 March, 16:30 – Museo di Roma, Sala Tenerani: Roma Racconta… talk focused on the Estate Romana initiative by Renato Nicolini (free admission).
Thursday 19 March, 17:00 – Museo di Roma in Trastevere: The Words of Women Writers, a lecture on Elsa Morante and a reassessment of La Storia more than fifty years after its publication (free entry in the multimedia room).
Thursday 19 March, 18:00 – Trajan’s Markets, Museum of the Imperial Fora: guided itinerary to Constantin Brâncuşi. The Origins of the Infinite. Reservation required; limited capacity.
