The Monterosso Val d'Arda Festival takes place in the historic centre of Castell'Arquato to celebrate the native Monterosso Val d'Arda DOC wine and local gastronomic specialties. Designed for wine lovers and families, the event features tastings, themed talks, music and outdoor activities in a charming medieval setting.
Castell'Arquato pairs the festival with important historical sites such as the 14th-century Rocca Viscontea and the Collegiate Church of Santa Maria Assunta. The event highlights the valley's viticultural vocation and local biodiversity, promoting responsible practices and the area's wine-growing heritage.
About 32 wineries from the Valdarda area take part, including long-established local producers. The festival is a chance to meet winemakers and discover how soil and grape varieties shape the wines.
