Siena and Bukhara: talks launched for a UNESCO sites cooperation

A delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan was received at Palazzo Pubblico to initiate a collaboration path between the historic centre of Siena and that of Bukhara, both recognized as UNESCO World Heritage sites. The meeting, held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, involved Mayor Nicoletta Fabio, Councillor for cooperation and international relations Giuseppe Giordano, Ambassador Abat Fayzullaev and Honorary Consul Leonardo Comucci.

During the exchange, a draft cooperation agreement was handed to the ambassador for initial review: this first step aims to encourage cultural exchanges, institutional projects and economic opportunities between the two heritage cities.
