Spring in the Heart of Sardinia 2026: what to expect

Dates: April 25, 2026 to June 28, 2026. For more than two months, selected Sardinian villages open courtyards, workshops and squares for a series of local events focused on traditions, nature and regional food and wine.

Purpose and structure of the event

The initiative aims to promote smaller historic centers by offering weekend programs for limited groups. Activities include guided tours, artisan workshops, cooking demonstrations, food trails, live music and outdoor excursions.

The 14 villages and key experiences

The schedule links the island's eastern and central-western areas, combining coastal, hill and river landscapes. Highlights to add to your itinerary:

  • Orosei and Girasole – boat trips, coastal hikes, historic center tours and food stalls.
  • Siniscola – art visits, temporary exhibitions, creative workshops and access to its long sandy beaches.
  • Tortolì and Baunei – folk evenings, cooking labs, hiking routes and dramatic cliff scenery.
  • Perdasdefogu and Villagrande Strisaili – mountain events, forest walks and traditional music.
  • Bosa – Malvasia wine tastings, historic center tours and views along the Temo river.
  • Other participants – Loceri, Lotzorai, Triei, Osini, Bari Sardo, Lanusei and more, transforming alleys and courtyards into venues for crafts and taste routes.

Practical tips for visitors

  • Check each village's schedule: many activities have limited availability or require booking.
  • Bring comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes suitable for trails and cobbled historic centers.
  • Plan for weekends to experience live events and evening gatherings.
  • Review public transport options and parking near smaller villages.

Why attend

The programme offers a direct way to meet local communities, taste regional specialties and engage in hands-on artisan experiences. It supports local economies and highlights how historical heritage and new projects can coexist across Sardinia.
