"Contrappunti visivi": Bruno Barillari's urban photography on display in Lecce

From 7 to 24 April 2026 photographer Bruno Barillari's works will be showcased across Lecce on public billboards. The initiative is part of the Stato dell’Arte Festival, organised by Icon Radio Visual Group, which highlights sustainability and the cross-pollination of visual disciplines.

The exhibition, titled "Contrappunti visivi", gathers photographs that portray people, architecture and the social atmospheres generated by the festival. The works use light as a compositional element to weave together interior and exterior dimensions, encouraging viewers to reflect on the relationships between subjects and urban settings.

Born in Galatina in 1973, Bruno Barillari is a photographer and videomaker with over thirty years of experience. Trained also at the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan, he teaches photographic techniques and contributes to editorial projects. His practice emphasises visual storytelling shaped by light and human connections.

As part of the festival programme, video installations by Valerio Calsolaro were presented on Good Friday and Holy Saturday at the 'Astronave' area of the Acquedotto Pugliese on via Diaz, extending the conversation between still and moving images.
