Casa degli Artisti presents two new works by Ugo La Pietra that examine making as a relational practice: manual labor as a space connecting individuals, communities, nature and design. The projects are installed in the venue's outdoor areas and developed in conversation with the resident artists.

ERBARIO

ERBARIO consists of ceramic "books" whose pages are incised with depictions of spontaneous plants collected by the artist during walks. The ceramic pages function like a botanical diary: the incised mark becomes a language to tell stories of biodiversity and landscape in a non-hierarchical way, emphasizing the knowledge embedded in handcraft.

GLI INVASATI

GLI INVASATI is coordinated by La Pietra and involves resident artists working from a shared terracotta vase model. Each participant intervenes with individual formal and poetic choices, turning the standard vessel into a distinct artwork. The ensemble highlights material unity and the dialogue between individual gesture and long-standing ceramic traditions.
