'Variations' at Palazzo Litta

For Milan Design Week 2026, MoscaPartners curates Variations, a group show that examines metamorphosis as transformation in shapes, materials and design practices. The exhibition occupies the Cortile d'Onore and the baroque rooms of the Piano Nobile, setting up a dialogue between historic architecture and contemporary experimentation.

Highlights

The centerpiece is the site-specific installation Metamorphosis in Motion by architect Lina Ghotmeh: an MDF pavilion finished with textured surfaces and pink tones, offering modular pathways, lounge areas, a meditative zone, sound immersion and an olfactory trail referencing the artist's Lebanese roots.

  • Metamorphosis in Motion — Lina Ghotmeh (site-specific installation)
  • Adrenalina — Bar Adrenalina (DebonaDemeo) (Italy)
  • Babled Design & Kukua — Crossing Light (Emmanuel Babled) (Portugal/Tanzania)
  • Base Times — Kawaguchi (Kazuhito Ishida) (Japan)
  • Mv Line — Sunflower (Giulio Iacchetti) (Italy)
  • Politecnico di Milano School of Design — Design is Cooperation (curated by Michele De Lucchi and colleagues) (Italy)
