Monumenti Aperti in Settimo San Pietro: guided visits on May 9–10, 2026

As part of the 30th edition of Monumenti Aperti, Settimo San Pietro hosts guided tours focused on local archaeological heritage. The initiative aims to highlight historical sites, offer educational routes and present locally found artifacts.

• Cuccuru Nuraxi sacred well: a Bronze Age monument located above the water table, reached via steps leading to an underground tholos—an uncommon structure in the area.
• Arca del tempo (Via Alagon, 36): an educational and outreach centre featuring a virtual journey from Prehistory to the present, with reconstructions of landscapes and monuments. The archaeological collection donated by scholar Carlo Desogus is on display here.
