From 3 April to 6 July 2026 the National Archaeological Museum of Naples presents Parthenope. The Siren and the City, an exhibition that explores how the myth of the siren Partenope has evolved from antiquity to the contemporary urban imagination.
The exhibition brings together archaeological finds, paintings, sculptures, contemporary interventions and multimedia installations to provide a multi-layered interpretation of the theme.
The exhibition is suitable for archaeology enthusiasts and for visitors interested in the intersections between history and contemporary art. Chronological sections pair rare finds with immersive displays to make the visit both informative and engaging.
The exhibition is an opportunity to discover Naples’ mythological roots and to see how an ancient figure has been reimagined in art and contemporary urban culture.
