Monumenti Aperti is more than guided visits: the festival includes programs focused on inclusion, education and cultural performance.
Born in 1997 in Sardinia from a local group's initiative, Monumenti Aperti has evolved into a national best practice coordinated by Imago Mundi OdV. Over thirty years the project has recorded millions of guided visits and mobilized thousands of volunteers and students, helping to promote and safeguard hundreds of monuments across many communities.
To plan visits download the official Monumenti Aperti app and follow the project's social channels where timetables, routes and accessibility details are published. Most visits are free; booking is recommended for popular sites.
Tip: check the individual site page on the app or official channels for updated opening times, booking requirements and mobility services.
