Autore: Redazione • 11/03/2026 20:58
When: March 20 — June 20, 2026
Where: Palazzo Ricca, Fondazione Banco di Napoli, Via dei Tribunali 213, Naples, Italy.
The solo exhibition by Antonio Nocera brings together over 80 works, many from private collections, to create a unified itinerary where two iconic figures of Italian culture — Pinocchio and Pulcinella — are used to read contemporary issues. Paintings, sculptures, drawings and installations interact to examine themes such as becoming, irony, fragility and the capacity to endure paradox.
Curated by Don Gianni Citro and supported by cultural institutions, the show highlights the dialogue between artwork and site: the rooms of Palazzo Ricca engage with the historical holdings of the Foundation's Archive, producing a meeting point between documentary memory and artistic imagination.
The exhibition is designed for a wide audience — scholars, enthusiasts, families, students and cultural tourists — offering multiple levels of interpretation from poetic to critical. The artist’s language preserves an immediate expressive force that makes the pathway accessible and engaging.
As Nocera returns to Naples, the placement of his works within the archival and historic spaces of Palazzo Ricca enhances the exhibition’s narrative potential, prompting reflection on collective identity, tradition and personal transformation.
