After more than twenty years of inactivity, the former Cinema De Amicis has been restored and repurposed as an exhibition and auction venue in central Milan. The refurbished space totals approximately 780 square metres and serves as the new headquarters for Kruso Art following a €6 million renovation.
Opening date: 15 April 2026. The venue’s first event is a modern and contemporary art auction titled “Ciak si colleziona: l’arte contemporanea di domani.” This single-owner sale features 54 lots from a private Italian collection.
The catalogue includes works by Italian and international artists with estimates ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands of euros. The auction also marks Jacopo Antolini’s debut as head of the modern and contemporary art department.
The venue will host exhibitions, public talks, lectures and a calendar of sales that blend traditional live auctions with digital formats. Planned activities include online bidding, private negotiations and hybrid events catering to collectors and market professionals.
The project aims to bridge gallery-style physical encounters with digital market tools, offering accessible exhibitions alongside specialist sales. Exhibition spaces extend to the balcony areas above the former stalls, while auctions are held in the renovated lower-level hall.
For schedules, catalogues and participation details, consult Kruso Art’s official channels or contact the Milan office to learn about upcoming events and how to take part.
