Matherland Luna Park – The Traveling Funfair Making a Stop in Sardin

Autore: Redazione 31/08/2025 15:17

In summer, Alghero shines not only for its crystal-clear sea and popular traditions, but also for the lights, colors, and music of Matherland Luna Park — the amusement park that tours across Sardinia. Besides Alghero, it makes stops in Sassari, Porto Torres, Olbia, and Cagliari, bringing rides, shows, and attractions to the island’s main cities for over twenty years.

More Than a Funfair

Matherland is much more than a traditional amusement park: it’s a meeting place for families, young people, and tourists seeking an alternative to typical summer evenings, combining thrill and togetherness. Attractions range from roller coasters and bumper cars to rides for children, such as inflatable castles and mini trains. For the bravest, there are adrenaline-fueled experiences like the drop tower, the Tagadà, and rides that seem to defy gravity.

A Park with a Social Heart

Open from July to September, Matherland combines entertainment with a strong social value. It serves as a gathering space for local communities and a source of work for dozens of families of fairground workers, who have passed down the art of the luna park for generations.

Events and Atmosphere

The magic of Matherland is amplified by special events, themed nights, and exclusive promotions, all designed to make fun accessible to everyone. The park’s vibrant atmosphere, filled with lights and laughter, turns every evening into a celebration.

Whether in Alghero, Sassari, Olbia, or Cagliari, every summer Matherland Luna Park remains an unmissable event for those who want to experience the thrill of the amusement park under the starlit sky of Sardinia.
