Marinella Senatore at GNAMC in 2026

From 27 April to 31 December 2026 the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea hosts a dedicated project by Marinella Senatore. The exhibition space at the start of the museum route becomes an active hub combining displayed works with educational and participatory activities.

Highlights

  • More than 40 works including drawings, collages, tapestries and a signature light sculpture.
  • Drawings that translate embodied landscapes and collective movement practices such as mindful movement and parkour.
  • Collages that weave together text and image, produced through community workshops.
  • Four monumental, newly made tapestries created with a craft school, where weaving functions as a practice of autonomy and identity.

Programme and aims

The initiative is designed as an evolving, year-long project featuring workshops, lectures and community encounters. Participation is treated as a structural element: learning and production emerge through shared experience rather than top-down transmission.
