Malamegi Lab Art Prize Milan: contemporary art competition for visual artists

Malamegi Lab, in collaboration with Moho – Art Services on behalf of Malamegi company, launches an art prize for both emerging and established visual artists. The initiative aims to ease access to the art and decoration market by offering professional visibility and concrete production and acquisition opportunities.
Who can apply
- Painters, sculptors, photographers, graphic designers and creatives from any country;
- Open to professionals and enthusiasts alike, without geographic limits;
- The theme is unrestricted: artists are encouraged to interpret the call according to their own vision.
Accepted work types
- Drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, graphics, mixed media, digital graphics and video;
- Each work must be submitted as a single image or a single video with an accompanying description;
- Works made of multiple parts must be represented in a single image.
Awards and benefits
- 12 finalists will be selected and exhibited in a final group show;
- New Collection Prize: one finalist will have the chance to develop a new collection promoted to Malamegi's buyer network;
- Acquisition prize: Malamegi Lab may acquire one finalist work, up to a maximum value of €2,000;
- Group exhibition: all 12 finalists will be exhibited with a catalog distributed during the exhibition period and invitations to the opening sent to artists, curators, critics and media;
- Cash prize: €1,000 awarded to one of the 12 finalists based on quality and originality (the awarded work remains the artist's property);
- Monographic catalogue: a dedicated book produced by Malamegi Lab (approximately 100 copies, 20 copies given to the artist).
