Quadrifluox: When Ink Becomes Light — Exhibition in Parma

Autore: Redazione 11/04/2026 04:39

Quadrifluox: ink that emits light

Quadrifluox is a curatorial project that reimagines fluorescent ink as an autonomous expressive medium. Curated by Piergiuseppe Molinar, the exhibition examines the relationship between paper, print and perception: under UV (Wood) light, printed images shift, expanding to reveal hidden details and visual layers.

What to expect

The show, held at Palazzo Pigorini in Parma, features a selection of printed works that trace Quadrifluox’s development—from typographic experiments to editorial productions and graphic novels that use fluorescence as a storytelling device.

  • Typographic and fine-art prints integrating fluorescent inks;
  • Graphic novels and illustrations that employ light as a narrative element;
  • The Hello Fluo! project, born from a generative art workshop in collaboration with Mekit Studio;
  • Works by illustrators and authors including Elisa Talentino, Matteo Berton, Hikimi, Davide Saraceno, Francesco Poroli, Riccardo Guasco, Daniele Catalli, Jacopo Rosati, Madeleine Frochaux and Marco Cazzato.

Why visit

Amid a screen-dominated era, Quadrifluox redirects attention to the printed object, redefining paper as an active medium capable of emitting light and interacting with digital brightness. The exhibition combines technical precision and creative experimentation, showing how algorithms, printing processes and craft-based techniques produce striking visual results.

Location: Palazzo Pigorini, Parma. Exhibition period: until 2 June 2026.
