Rome holds countless treasures, but few places manage to combine magic, nature, and fun quite like Luneur Park, the capital’s historic amusement park — reborn in recent years as a true Garden of Wonders. With attractions, shows, and fairy-tale settings, every corner of the park invites both children and adults to rediscover the joy of being young, leaving behind the rush of everyday life.
The park
The guiding thread of the Luneur Park experience is the legend of the Wise Owl and the Little Owls, a story that turns the visit into a journey between fantasy and reality. Magical characters — like Luna the golden owl, Milvio the engineer, and Auro the wizard owl — accompany visitors through an imaginative adventure that sparks children’s creativity while rekindling adults’ childhood emotions.
The park’s scenography is designed to immerse families in a world “beyond time and space,” where every attraction becomes part of a collective narrative. From the Prato delle Girandole (Meadow of Pinwheels), the colorful heart of the park, to the Piazza delle Civette (Owls’ Square) and the enchanting Terrazza del Sole (Sun Terrace), each area offers a different experience — games, educational activities, moments of relaxation, and opportunities for discovery.
Splash Zone
During summer, the star of the show is the Splash Zone, a 2,100-square-meter water area featuring six slides for refreshing family fun. From water games to sun loungers and umbrellas, everything is designed to provide a relaxing oasis without leaving Rome. “You don’t have to go far to feel on vacation,” says the park’s slogan — and indeed, one splash is enough to forget the city’s heat.
A beloved Roman landmark
For decades, Luneur Park’s famous Giant Ferris Wheel has been a cherished symbol of Rome, a meeting place for generations — filled with memories, laughter, and even first loves. Today, after a full restyling that has brought new life and color to the entire complex, the park combines tradition and modernity, making it an ideal destination for families, school trips, and groups of friends.
Opening hours and ticket prices
The park is open every day except Monday, from 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., while the Splash Zone operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
How to get there
Luneur Park is easily reachable by both car and public transport. Located in Via delle Tre Fontane, in the EUR district, it’s connected to Metro Line B (Eur Magliana and Eur Fermi stations) and served by several city buses. For drivers, the Giant Ferris Wheel serves as a clear landmark guiding the way.
