Lignano Hub Skatepark: the paradise of Friulian skaters

Autore: Redazione 26/08/2025 15:19

Welcome to Lignano, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia — a true paradise for every skateboard lover! The Lignano Hub Skatepark was born from the passion and determination of Simone Zanusso and his association Thankyouskateboarding A.S.D.

Since 2015, they have worked to pass on their love for skateboarding to younger generations, creating a place where people can learn, improve, and enjoy the sport safely.

Opened in August 2021 along Viale Europa, the park offers a wide variety of structures suited for everyone — from beginners to professionals. It starts with an “easy line” featuring a bank, quarter, flat rail, and low ledges, and extends to more challenging areas with an 8-step stair set, hubba, eurogap, and technical transitions. There’s even a 2-meter-deep bowl section for those who love smooth and flowing rides.

A meeting point for the community

Beyond the skatepark itself, the HUB offers green areas, picnic tables, a roller-skating rink, five-a-side football fields, fitness equipment, a music area, and playgrounds for children. It’s a true hub of activity where sport meets social life.

Events and competitions

Since its opening, the skatepark has hosted stages of the Italian Skateboarding Championship, attracting athletes from all over the country. The future goal is to establish a regional circuit in collaboration with other parks and associations, to help the skate scene grow throughout Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

Skateboarding for all ages

Visitors range from children as young as 4 to parents over 50, with a core group of enthusiasts between 16 and 25 years old. Here, skateboarding is seen as an inclusive sport and a passion that unites generations.

The Lignano Hub Skatepark is not just a training ground — it’s a symbol of how sport can transform an idea into a reality capable of inspiring and strengthening an entire community.
