The Parco Sculture del Chianti launches its temporary exhibitions with a new project by Li Yungfeng. The solo show explores female memory, the bond with nature and the traces left by time, using pictographic signs and intergenerational storytelling conceived to interact with the park's woodland setting.
Central to the artist's research is the Dongba script, the pictographic writing of the Naxi people from Yunnan, listed by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Li Yungfeng reworks these symbols into a contemporary visual language that connects cultural heritage, landscape and femininity.
The project frames historical references and personal memories: the imagery of Turandot is juxtaposed with Naxi cultural elements to create a dialogue between myth and lived experience. The installation unfolds in stages that trace the life cycle of women and the ways memory is passed down.
Opening: Thursday, April 2, 2026, 17:00 (opening and artist talk).
Exhibition dates: April 3–June 30, 2026.
Visiting hours: daily from 10:00 to 18:00 (including Sundays and holidays).
Venue: Parco Sculture del Chianti, Pievasciata (near Siena, Tuscany).
The show is integrated into the park's outdoor route: visitors should wear suitable footwear and allow time to enjoy the works within the natural setting. Check the park's schedule for guided tours and related events.
