Palazzo Pepoli presents a photographic exhibition that investigates Frida Kahlo as a visual project: not a straightforward biography, but a study of the images that helped forge her myth. Around 70 original photographs by prominent twentieth-century photographers are on display, documenting different phases of the artist's life.

The selection juxtaposes self-portraits, portraits made by friends and peers, and archival materials.
