The International Contemporary Art Biennale returns to Potenza with its second edition. The opening night is scheduled for Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at 18:00 at the Museo Provinciale di Potenza "Michele La Cava" (via Lazio 18).
Organized by the Lucana Art Commission under the leadership of president Raimondo Andreolo (artist name ARPA), the exhibition brings together diverse visual languages, combining academic traditions with contemporary practices.
Curated by Vincenzo Claps, the program is designed to create a dialogue between established regional masters and contemporary voices, positioning Potenza as a node in the national cultural conversation.
Highlight: on 27–29 May 2026 the Biennale will host a self-portrait attributed to Leonardo da Vinci, presented courtesy of the Glinni family of Acerenza — a unique chance to view a work connected to the Renaissance up close.
The event targets collectors, scholars, critics and the general public interested in contemporary and historical art. Local authorities, art critics and national figures are expected to attend. Check the organizers' official channels for detailed schedules and related programming.
This Biennale aims to showcase Lucanian artistic identity and foster a constructive exchange between past masters and contemporary practices.
