Lake Laudemio and Mount Sirino: Basilicata's glacial jewel

Lake Laudemio is the only glacial lake in southern Italy and is hidden among the peaks of the Sirino massif, which exceed 1,900 meters. It is a real little natural treasure, with its almost perfect shape and clear waters, creating an almost fairy-tale atmosphere with its reflections.

The lake is located at an altitude of over 1,500 meters and still retains its primordial character. Its appearance changes with the seasons, from intense green in summer to white in winter. Mount Sirino overlooks the lake and is a destination for many skiers and snowboarders, and in general for all mountain lovers. This is especially true in winter, while in summer it becomes the perfect retreat for those who love hiking and trekking.

From the slopes of Mount Sirino, reaching the highest trails, you can also admire the coastline overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, especially on clear days. The area is also a microcosm of biodiversity, as rare plants grow around the lake, making it a natural laboratory of enormous value. There, you can enjoy the silence and tranquility that everyone seeks when hiking around a lake.
