The 1935 piezometric tower, rising to roughly 50 metres and visible across the city, is the subject of a recovery plan to turn it into a multimedia museum focused on water, with a glazed terrace proposed at about 36 metres high.
As an example of industrial archaeology, the restored tower could become a landmark attraction, enhancing the area around the aqueduct and broadening the city's cultural offerings for residents and visitors.
Work on the internal access and the terrace requires formal clearance from the heritage authority. Funding strategies include talks with foundations and a mix of public and private contributions to cover the estimated costs.
Follow announcements from the managing body and cultural authorities for official updates and any future opening dates. If implemented, the project will provide a new way to experience the aqueduct's history and the local landscape.
