Have you ever felt the thrill of flying among oaks and pines? At the Park of the Brigands, this becomes reality.
Nestled in the greenery of the Murgia Barese, this woodland haven transforms into a place where both young and old can rediscover their connection with nature and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities.
Whether you’re with family, friends, or on a school trip, you’ll find an experience tailored just for you — from suspended trails among the trees to mountain biking, archery, horseback riding, or barefoot walks, along with many other activities waiting to be discovered.
And if you need a break, relax in the picnic area beneath the pine trees, breathe deeply, and let yourself be enchanted by the scents of the Murgia.
The name “Park of the Brigands” is no coincidence. Here, among the caves and ravines of the Bosco di Mesola, once hid Vituccio Servodio, a legendary brigand who lived between the 19th and 20th centuries. Like a southern Robin Hood, he evaded the guards thanks to the dense vegetation and the countless hidden paths of the forest. Today, you can explore those same places — a perfect blend of history, nature, and adventure.
Activities to Try
The park offers much more than treetop adventure courses. Among the most popular experiences are sensory trails through natural mazes, barefoot grass walks, horseback excursions, mini golf, archery, and trampolines.
For those seeking rest, there’s a relaxation area with hammocks, the brigand’s snack bar, and the freedom to simply enjoy a peaceful day surrounded by nature.
Nature to Discover
The park lies within a Natura 2000 protected area, home to oak trees, holm oaks, and Aleppo pines, alongside foxes, hedgehogs, wild boars, birds of prey, and countless other species. For nature lovers, the trails lead through a surprising landscape rich in shapes, colors, and stories.

The park is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. from April to September.
