Il Libro Possibile marks 25 years with a summer program across Puglia

The longstanding Puglia literary festival celebrates its silver anniversary, expecting over 300 guests for talks, music and public debate. After an international prologue in London, the 2026 edition will take place in Polignano a Mare and Vieste.

  • 25 June 2026 – introductory event.
  • 8-11 July 2026 – Polignano a Mare: opening night featuring the Metropolitan City of Bari Symphony Orchestra.
  • 21-25 July 2026 – Vieste: closing stage of the summer program.

Artistic direction is by Rosella Santoro; the edition’s theme is “Speech to Humanity”, inspired by the final monologue of Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator. The program includes an environmental segment, “Speech to the Earth”, featuring singer Elisa and her Lotus foundation.

Supported by the Region of Puglia, the festival aims to combine culture, territorial promotion and responsible tourism. Organizers and regional authorities highlight the event’s role as a major cultural platform in southern Italy and a space for public reflection on contemporary issues.
