The Suspended Forest: Adventure and Nature in the Serre Calabresi

Autore: Redazione 29/08/2025 18:05

Amid the forests of the Serre Calabresi, in Cenadi, lies a place that feels straight out of a fairytale: the Suspended Forest, an adventure park that lets visitors experience nature from within — suspended among the trees, breathing pure air, and surrounded by endless greenery.

No reservation is required to enter the park, and admission is free. Only the activities and services chosen by visitors are paid.

The park features acrobatic tree courses, built with ropes, walkways, and Tibetan bridges designed to have minimal environmental impact. These activities are suitable for all ages — from children to adults — with varying levels of difficulty and the constant supervision of trained instructors.

In addition to the tree courses, the park offers activities such as orienteering, tree climbing, and rock climbing, blending sport, adventure, and exploration of the local environment. Guided hikes provide a full sensory immersion in the flora and fauna of the Serre mountains.

With picnic areas, barbecues, tables, and playgrounds, the Suspended Forest is an ideal destination for families. After an active day, visitors can relax at the bar or food stand, enjoying Calabrian specialties in a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the forest and a nearby lake.

What truly makes this park unique is its mission: every structure and activity is designed to respect the environment and enhance the bond between humans and nature.

Where the park is located

The Suspended Forest is easily accessible and represents one of the most authentic experiences Calabria has to offer — an invitation to rediscover nature with your feet on the ground and your heart suspended among the trees.
