The Etruscans and the Netherlands: Corazzi Bronzes in Milan

From April 1 to October 4, 2026, the Fondazione Luigi Rovati hosts an exhibition showcasing the Corazzi collection's Etruscan bronzes, temporarily on loan from the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden. The show, located in the museum's underground floor, examines the relationship between artifacts, private collecting and the history of collections.

Highlights

  • Etruscan bronzes: votive and mythological statuettes, including the Boy with Goose, the bronze of Laran and a griffin figurine.
  • Historic volumes: early publications and catalogues documenting the reception and collecting history of the works.
  • Contextual themes: the role of private collectors in shaping cultural heritage, with links to the Corazzi collection and the Maec of Cortona.
