FAI Spring Days 2026: special openings of monuments and historic palaces

On the first weekend of spring, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026, the FAI Spring Days take place nationwide. This event opens normally inaccessible monuments, palaces and sites to the public and offers guided tours led by trained volunteers.

• Open sites: around 780 locations including historic palaces, monuments, churches and archaeological areas.
• Towns involved: more than 400 across Italy.
• Edition: the 34th edition, continuing a tradition of cultural discovery since the 1990s.
• Highlights: selected openings to mark the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi.
