National Historic Homes Day 2026 in Lombardy — Sunday 24 May

Theme: "Guardians of the future. A living heritage for shared value." The event, organized by the Association of Historic Houses of Italy (ADSI), opens private historic residences and palaces to the public.

Open houses: summary and practical information

  • Villa dei Tasso – La Celadina (Bergamo)

    Visits to interiors and exteriors: courtyard, oratory, rooms and ground-floor salons.
    Hours: free entry 10:00–12:00 and 14:30–17:30. Guided tour (with contribution) departs at 16:30; reservation required via email: [email protected].

  • Palazzo d’Arco (Mantua)

    Free access to the romantic park, winter garden and the museum botanical garden.
    Hours: 9:30–13:00 and 14:30–18:00. At 16:10 a guided visit to the noble floor titled "Fiori d'alta moda" will take place (paid visit, reservation required). Info and bookings: tel. +39 0376 322242.

  • Villa Zari (Bovisio Masciago)

    Free guided park visits at 10:00, 11:30, 14:30 and 16:00 (approx. 30 minutes). A full visit of some ground-floor rooms with a final toast is available (approx. 1h15) for a contribution; reservation required via email: [email protected]. A concert by Acoustic Train is scheduled at 17:30. Bring a cushion or folding seat for outdoor seating; entrance by free donation.

  • Palazzo Guicciardi (Ponte in Valtellina, SO)

    Free visits with mandatory reservation, until places are filled. Visit start times: 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. Preview visits will show newly restored, frescoed first-floor rooms.

  • Roseto del Drago (Ponte in Valtellina, SO)

    Free visits with mandatory reservation, until places are filled. Times: 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 14:30, 15:30 and 16:30. Bookings via email: [email protected] — include a contact name, phone number and number of participants.

  • Cortili Aperti Milano

    As part of the 16th edition of the National Historic Homes Day, the initiative opens historic courtyards and inner spaces of Milanese palaces. Free guided openings led by volunteers from the association's Young Group.
    Hours: 10:00–18:00.
