Chiusi: three contemporary artists at the National Etruscan Museum

From May 30 to August 31, 2026, the National Etruscan Museum in Chiusi presents an exhibition that connects archaeological finds with contemporary artistic languages, creating a direct dialogue between the past and present sensibilities.

The project, organized by the cultural association SpazioUlisse together with the Regional Directorate of National Museums Tuscany and part of the Orizzonti D'Arte Festival, brings together three distinct yet related artistic approaches focused on spiritual and material dimensions.

What to see

  • Frank Dituri: an internationally known photographer whose work examines the indeterminacy of the image. His grey-toned, ephemeral photographs capture suspended moments that create a metaphysical resonance with the archaeological setting.
  • Mauro Manetti: a sculptor exploring the relationship between art and nature, reworking classical iconography with modern, pared-down forms. His pieces reinterpret ancient myths through succinct expressive means.
  • Vasco Nasorri: a Chiusi-based artist recognized for terracotta and ceramic sculptures with sacred themes and for public bronze monuments. His work draws on popular roots and local traditions.

Why visit

The exhibition fosters a meeting between the archaic expressiveness of Etruscan artefacts and contemporary artists' practices, turning the museum into a living space of reinterpretation. It is an important event for followers of contemporary art and for visitors who want to rediscover historical heritage through a modern lens.

Practical information: open from May 30 to August 31, 2026. Check the National Etruscan Museum or the City of Chiusi for exact opening hours and visiting rules.
