Fondazione Fiera Milano: extraordinary opening of the collection for miart

On the occasion of miart 2026, Fondazione Fiera Milano will exceptionally open a selection of its contemporary art collection to the public with free guided visits at the Palazzina degli Orafi (Largo Domodossola) in Milan.

• Dates: Saturday 18 April and Sunday 19 April 2026
• Guided tour times: Saturday 18 April at 11:30 and 15:00; Sunday 19 April at 10:30
• Venue: Palazzina degli Orafi, Largo Domodossola, Milan
• Admission: free visits, reservation required by 16 April

The foundation's collection currently includes around 140 works by 120 artists. The selection offers a significant overview of contemporary artistic research both nationally and internationally, highlighting recurring themes such as the relationship between nature and culture, the interplay of abstraction and figuration, and the dialogue between space and architecture.

Featured works and artists

• Nicolas Party – two pastels in which everyday objects like coffee machines become central subjects for a broader reflection on pictorial language and art history reinterpretation.
• Marisa Merz – Untitled (Paper on wood) (2010-12): a drawing on paper and wood exemplifying the artist's essential material language and focus on the human figure.
• Monica Bonvicini – Valley Fire (2015–2016): a large tempera and spray print canvas addressing architecture, power and space through dark tones and bold marks.
• Piero Gilardi – Betulle (2013): a polyurethane composition that invites reflection on the relationship between humans and nature and on relational art.
• Paolo Icaro – Fregio (1983): painted bronze elements that explore form, space and sculptural process.
