On 25 April 2026 the Dries Van Noten Foundation will open in the historic rooms of Palazzo Pisani Moretta on the Grand Canal in Venice. The non-profit institution aims to restore attention to human-made skill, creating intersections between art, design, architecture, fashion, music and food.
Conceived by designer Dries Van Noten together with Patrick Vangheluwe, the Foundation intends to act as a cultural platform that supports traditional artisans, contemporary makers and emerging talents through cross-generational and interdisciplinary projects.
The opening will feature a presentation of works and related projects that are scheduled to continue until October. A secondary venue, Studio San Polo, will host experimental projects, workshops, residencies and informal performances.
The Foundation is designed to highlight the cultural value of making: displays, hands-on demonstrations and educational moments aim to engage a range of audiences from students to art lovers. Check the official schedule before your visit for precise opening times, event details and access rules.
Why go: to experience a dialogue between historical architecture and contemporary practices, observe skilled craftsmanship firsthand and discover interdisciplinary projects that bridge different creative fields.
