Rome IGP Olive Oil Festival 2026: culture, taste and territory

From 10 to 21 April 2026, Rome will host the inaugural Rome IGP Olive Oil Festival, promoted by the Consorzio Olio di Roma IGP to celebrate local olive oil heritage in conjunction with the Natale di Roma.

The program includes public and professional events: guided tastings, tasting masterclasses, showcookings, cultural visits and oleotourism routes designed to present extra-virgin olive oil as both cultural heritage and a driver for sustainable development.

• 10–12 April: Festival of Green and Landscape at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
• 12–15 April: participation at Vinitaly in Verona with consortium activities.
• 16–17 April: “Generazione O” project aimed at young people.
• 18 April: guided visit to Monte dei Cocci.
• 19 April: Rome Appia Run, a running event linking history and nature.
• 20 April: Temple of Hadrian hosts producers’ exhibition, masterclasses, showcookings and talks; presentation of the “Routes of Rome Oil” oleotourism itineraries.
• 21 April (Natale di Roma): Premio L’Eterno ceremony at the Curia Iulia in the Colosseum Archaeological Park and guided tours of the Palatine olive grove; closing gala evening at Villa Silvestri Rivaldi.

The festival aims to blend tradition and innovation, positioning Rome IGP olive oil as an excellence that supports sustainable tourism, landscape protection and the Mediterranean Diet. Details and event registration are available on the consortium’s official website.
