“Building Bridges. Work, migration and cooperation between Italy and Senegal”

On Tuesday 14 April the Cinema Monviso in Cuneo will host an evening focused on connections between territory, migration and sustainable development. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Cuneo with LVIA, the Municipality of Thiès Ouest and the Employment Centre, marks the conclusion of the “Lavoro inclusivo” project and opens the civic week “Globalmente”.

The programme includes the screening of the documentary Sunu Gaal (72 minutes), which tells the stories of young Senegalese people and their reflections on migration, racism and neocolonialism, followed by a public discussion with local and institutional representatives.

The event reflects more than a decade of collaboration between Italy and Senegal—from the “Reti al Lavoro” project to more recent cooperative efforts—and aims to promote dialogue between local communities on migration, work and shared development paths.
