Etnaland: The Island of Fun at the Foot of the Volcano

Just a few kilometers from Catania, on the slopes of Mount Etna, lies Etnaland, the amusement park loved by Sicilians and visitors from all over. Its success dates back to 2001, when the Acquapark first opened—a summer paradise of fun featuring thrilling slides such as Wild River, Big Foam, Rafting River, the iconic Stukas, and Miniland for the little ones.

In 2013, a new area was added: the Themepark, designed to keep the park open not only during the hot summer months but also in spring and autumn. Within the Themepark, visitors can find rides for every taste. The most popular include The Storm, Etnaland Tower, Quasar, and Vortigo, along with adventurous attractions such as Eldorado.

Even the youngest guests have their own dedicated areas: I sogni di Ciclopino (“Ciclopino’s Dreams”) and Il circo di Ciclopino e Ciclopina (“Ciclopino and Ciclopina’s Circus”) offer safe and delightful entertainment.

And there’s more—three major attractions are shared between both areas, true highlights of the park: Jungle Splash, a 30-meter-high spillwater ride; Crocodile Rapids, for a wild rafting adventure; and Dragon River, an impressively themed flume ride.

A Dive into Prehistory

Etnaland is not just about fun. Nature and history lovers can explore the Prehistoric Park, featuring scientifically accurate reconstructions of dinosaurs and early humans, along with a botanical trail that tells the story of our planet through its flora—a fascinating educational experience.

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

The park is open from April to September.

• From April to June: only the daytime Themepark is open.
• From late June to early September: both the daytime Acquapark and evening Themepark are open.

Daytime Themepark — 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM). Admission includes the Prehistoric Park.

Daytime Acquapark — 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM). Admission includes the Prehistoric Park.

Evening Themepark — 7:30 PM to 1:00 AM (last entry at 10:30 PM).

Online tickets offer a €10 discount compared to on-site purchases.
