Ten national outlets on a press tour in Manfredonia

From 6 to 9 May 2026, Manfredonia hosted a press tour organized by the Fondazione Re Manfredi with support from the municipal administration. The four-day initiative involved ten journalists, photographers and content creators from leading Italian publications in tourism, culture, food and cycle tourism.

The program combined guided visits to the town's historical and architectural heritage with meetings focused on local production and gastronomy, giving prominence to seafood supply chains and agro-food products from the Gargano area.

• Notable participants: Laura Squizzato (TG2), Riccardo Lagorio (Dove), Vittorio Giannella (Itinerari e Luoghi), Dario Bordet (Italia da Gustare), Maurizio Coccia (Ciclynside), Andrea Cottini (Bici Style), Christie Peruso (Radio DJ), Mariella Belloni and photographer Dario Raimondi;
• Sites visited: Swabian-Angevin Castle, Abbey of Santa Maria di Siponto (work by Edoardo Tresoldi), the Cathedral Basilica and the historic centre;
• Highlights: gastronomic offerings, maritime supply chain, cycling itineraries linking Manfredonia to the Gargano National Park and the Siponto archaeological site.

The initiative is part of a territorial promotion strategy to position Manfredonia within national circuits for cultural, experiential and food tourism ahead of the 2026 summer season. Participating outlets will publish articles, photo essays and videos to showcase the area to a national audience.
