From 6 March to 5 July 2026, the Museo del Corso — Polo museale (Palazzo Cipolla) in Rome presents a selection of more than fifty works loaned by the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. The exhibition examines Habsburg collecting practices and the role of art in crafting imperial identity.
The route combines painting, portraiture, still lifes and Wunderkammer objects to trace centuries of collecting and cultural exchange in Europe. Key highlights include:
The show is curated by Cäcilia Bischoff of the Kunsthistorisches Museum and is promoted by Fondazione Roma in collaboration with the KHM. It receives support and patronage from cultural institutions and official partners.
