Cesena: €190,000 for festivals and series in the 2026–2027 biennium

The Municipality of Cesena has published a call to support cultural initiatives carried out within the city, addressed to associations, third-sector entities registered with RUNTS and cultural and creative industry operators. The municipality has allocated €95,000 for 2026 and €95,000 for 2027, with the possibility of further increases, and offers free use of municipal venues for events.

Projects must take place entirely in the municipal area and fall within the strictly cultural field (music, theatre, dance, cinema, visual arts, literature, enhancement of local heritage). Funds are intended as co‑financing and not as entrepreneurial contracts.

• Eligible types: Festivals (structured projects with costs >= €50,000 per year, requiring a biennial plan) and series/events (costs < €50,000; applications may cover the biennium or a single year).
• Restrictions: each applicant may submit only one project and for a single category; projects already funded by the municipality for the same activities are not eligible.
• Venues: available municipal locations include the Chiostro di San Francesco and the Sala Sozzi at Palazzo del Ridotto, with related services.
• Information session: organised by the Biblioteca Malatestiana and Culture Department on Thursday 26 March at 14:30 in the Sala Sozzi of Palazzo del Ridotto.
• Deadline: applications must be submitted by 13:00 on 20 April 2026 via the municipality's PEC (certified email).

The culture councillor, Camillo Acerbi, notes that the call aims to strengthen culture as a driver for civic and economic growth, promoting participation, inclusion and opportunities for young people and new audiences. The measure complements a broader municipal system of funding and assignments that supports events for roughly one million euros per year.
