On Friday 24 April 2026 Bruino inaugurated a new public study room, developed as part of the “Study rooms: youth and culture spaces” project promoted by the Metropolitan City of Turin. The opening was attended by Metropolitan Deputy Mayor Jacopo Suppo, Bruino Mayor Andrea Appiano and local association representatives.
The initiative is part of a broader youth policy strategy to provide accessible, modern places where young people can study, socialize and take part in cultural activities. As the deputy mayor noted, these are concrete tools to counter isolation and school dropout.
The project involves ten municipalities in the metropolitan area: Bruino, Cafasse, Foglizzo, Gassino Torinese, Caselle, Bosconero, Vestignè, Frossasco, Mercenasco and Corio. Each town received funding to create or enhance dedicated spaces, aiming to reduce territorial inequalities and offer similar opportunities in smaller centres.
For the local administration, the new study room is an investment in the future: a place that serves not only for study but also as an educational and cultural hub to encourage participation and support young people's personal and professional development.
